Some of the agenda for the 2008 BCPMA meeting.
The upcoming meeting of BCPMA on Oct
25 will have a collection of speakers, Rick Conti MTO, Bill
Phelan Chief Gold Commisioner, John Cavanagh ADM EMPR. Possibly
a representitive of MLA Hogg min of state for mining. Also David
McLelland a director of AME and a member of VIX. BCPMA went
after a seat on the "Ministers Council for Mining" to represent
Placer interests, which we attained. I was then advised that a
second council was being developed to deal with Placer issues
alone. The point has been made that while big mining, coal and
aggregate and now placer are being represented, the exploration
and prospectors are being left out. Please advise your
association reps of concerns and issues that you wish to put on
the table. I would like to thank Jim Gibson for his help in
